long time spiritual and cultural explorer of consciousness and ideas surrounding it. particularly interested in unique creative and spiritual journeys, people with strong callings who follow them in sometimes intense and unique ways. have enjoyed studies of shamanism, tibetan buddhism, hinduism (specifically shaivism and kashmir shaivism), jungian psychology/philosophy, indigenous spirituality, depth psychology, etc… and likely to continue some of those studies to some degree. happy to share and compare notes, ideas, experiences and resources with those seeking similar explorations when i have the time and energy.

currently fixated on art and creative process, particularly modern and abstract art in mixed mediums. expression of things from within. bringing the inward outward. exploring mosaic work, textiles, and hand painted furniture. enjoy some folk art and the more personal side of it in a world that feels more and more technological and impersonal.

fascinated with color, pattern and texture, and aesthetics in general. have a long time connection to them and an appreciation of studies of feng shui (and other cultural studies of similar ideas from tibet, india, africa, etc…) and environmental psychology, and the architectural and life theories of christopher alexander. appreciate design with influences from indigenous cultures, south american and mexican cultures, influences from the middle east, and more.

screenwriting is something i am working to understand as well as storytelling and its capacity to nourish and heal individuals and communities. gay community issues, ideas and experiences with love and relationships, and conscious development of our society are the main themes i would enjoy exploring through such avenues. fascinated with epic storytelling through television shows and through films such as the matrix, lord of the rings, dune books and films, star trek tv and film series, etc…
